On March 4, 2024, the Royal Institute for Strategic Studies (IRES), in conjunction with the "AI Movement" Center at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University, organized a day of forward thinking on the theme of "Trusted artificial intelligence: a lever for change in favor of accelerated development in the Kingdom."

Bringing together a panel of high-level international, African and Moroccan experts in the fields of artificial intelligence, digital innovation and cybersecurity, this meeting provided an ideal opportunity to highlight the foundations and contributions of artificial intelligence on a global scale, to identify the various challenges involved in its development, including the ethical issues necessary for its social acceptability, and to take stock of the state of artificial intelligence in Africa and Morocco.

The discussions culminated in the emergence of a number of innovative ideas for the development and appropriate deployment of a sovereign, inclusive artificial intelligence industry aligned with the Kingdom's needs and values.
