In pursuit of its strategic issues on the global competitiveness of Morocco and on the intangible capital, the Royal Institute for Strategic Studies (IRES), organized on Wednesday, December 19, 2018, a meeting on "What development model for value creation and employment?", attended by public and private sector actors and experts in the field.

After a presentation of the achievements and shortcomings of Morocco's development model and long-term international prospects related to the relation between value creation and job creation, the meeting was held in four sessions. The first dealt with the dimension of "Human Capital and Inclusiveness". The second was dedicated to the future of Morocco's global businesses, notably the automotive and aerospace industries. The third session was devoted to the issues of innovation and entrepreneurship. The fourth was engaged in analyzing the dimensions of soft power and the international positioning of the Kingdom.

During this meeting, the debates highlighted the need to grasp the question of the development model in terms of global change and from the point of view of the political economy and to emphasize, as a preliminary to the choice of any model, on intangible capital and governance. Innovative ideas have been proposed for the establishment of a new development model of inclusive, competitive development and making Morocco a real emerging country.
