Visit of High Level Chinese delegation to IRES
 

 

IRES’ Director General, Mr. Mohammed Tawfik MOULINE, held on 19 September 2013, a work meeting with a high level Chinese delegation headed by HE JI Peiding, Ambassador, member of the Advisory Group of policies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China and former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, and composed of Mr. Wu Sike, China's special envoy to the Middle East and Mr. SUN Shuzhong, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Morocco, as well as Chinese experts on international issues. Took part to the meeting, Mr. Said MOUFTI, Director of Research at IRES.

During this meeting, discussions were held on the recent developments of the socio-political situation in the countries of North Africa and the Middle of the East as well as the issues and challenges facing the democratic transition in these countries. This meeting was devoted also to the presentation by the Director General of IRES of key progress made by Morocco in terms of building its project of a democratic, prosperous and open society to the world. A choice that has been enshrined in the new Constitution of the Kingdom adopted in July 2011.
