His Excellency Mr. Cheikh Tidiane Gadio, President of the Pan African Institute for Strategies and former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Senegal, facilitated, on March 11, 2016, a conference debate on the theme: "The new security challenges in Africa, " in the presence of His Excellency Mr. Amadou Ousmane SY, Ambassador of Mali to Morocco, representatives of regional and international organizations concerned with African issues as well as Moroccan experts.

Discussions focused on main development of security situation in Africa, the effectiveness of initiatives implemented to deal with the terrorist threat, especially in the Sahel-Saharan region and key levers to restore peace and security in the continent on a sustainable basis.

Other important aspects were examined, including the priorities of Moroccan foreign policy towards Africa and the contribution of the Kingdom to the setup of a new paradigm of cooperation, that serve best vital interests of our continent.
