  • Social bond : what roles do the State and political and social actors play ?

IRES has organized on Friday, July 27, 2012 a seminar on the theme " Diversity Policy: How to operationalize it under the new Constitution? ".  Organized under the Study Program "Social bond : what roles do the State and political and social actors play ?", the Seminar was attended by officials, civil society actors and researchers.

Ethnic, linguistic and cultural Moroccan diversity is a result of several thousand years of historical evolution. It was built by sedimentation under the influence of cosmogonies, myths, religions, traditions, languages and cultures of the peoples who settled in Morocco, from prehistory to the present days.

With the 2011 Constitution, Morocco moved from a unitary paradigm to a diversity one. Therefore, how to operationalize the National Council of languages and Moroccan culture and what kind of relationship to be established between the different cultural and linguistic expressions?

The seminar helped to identify a first methodological approach in the perspective of the operationalization of the National Council of languages and Moroccan culture.
