Working visit of Mrs. Emanuela DEL RE, Special Representative of the European Union for the Sahel

The Royal Institute for Strategic Studies (IRES) received, on November 2, 2022, Mrs. Emanuela DEL RE, Special Representative of the European Union for the Sahel, accompanied by Mr. Carmello BARBELLO, Head of Cabinet and the Security Advisor of the Delegation of the European Union in Morocco, Mr. Jean De Cordona.

This meeting was devoted to the situation in the Sahel region and the contribution of Morocco in the stabilization of this area and the autonomous development of Africa in general. Were also discussed the prospects of Euro-African cooperation, in the light of security and stability issues, the polarization of international relations and the partnership that Europe wishes to establish with African countries. Finally, the exchanges addressed the role that Morocco is called to play in the Africa-Morocco-Europe cooperation.
