Working visit to IRES by a high-level Chinese delegation from the CPPCC

A high-level Chinese delegation, led by Mr. Yong SHANG, Minister - Member of the Standing Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Vice-Chairman of the CPPCC Education, Science, Health, and Sports Committee, conducted a working visit to the Royal Institute for Strategic Studies (IRES) on November 29, 2023. The discussions, following presentations on the missions of both IRES and the CPPCC, centered on the special relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and the People's Republic of China. The dialogue explored the potential for further development in the context of the new Silk Roads initiative.

The meeting served as a platform to showcase Morocco's strides in building a democratic and prosperous society with a global outlook. Additionally, the remarkable economic development achieved by the People's Republic of China, aiming to become the world's leading economic power by 2035-2040, was acknowledged.
