IRES organized on February 26, 2015, a seminar dedicated to the discussion of the preliminary findings of the study entitled "How to make Morocco a regional hub in the field of scientific research and innovation ?", to which took part a panel of senior representatives of public and private institutions concerned as well as academic experts.

The seminar focused on key assets to mobilize and gaps to resolve by Morocco in order to set the scientific research and innovation as the cornerstone of its intangible capital, through reference to some international experiences successful in the field.

Discussions focused, among other things, on the need for Morocco to implement a strategic long-term vision that would unite the efforts of all actors involved in this field, align scientific research and innovation to the country’s strategic priorities and mobilize effectively the network of partnerships it holds so as to accelerate the development of its status as a regional hub at the crossroads of Africa, the Arab world and the Mediterranean.
