Challenges and opportunities of rural development in sub-Saharan Afric

The Royal Institute for Strategic Studies organized a seminar, on May 2, 2018, , devoted to the discussion of the preliminary findings of the study "Challenges and opportunities of rural development in sub-Saharan Africa". The seminar was attended by representatives of international organizations, public and private actors and academic experts.

This study, in conformity with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the African Union Agenda 2063, identify the issues and challenges facing sub-Saharan Africa for the rural development. It make strategic proposals for fighting poverty and promote rural transformation in sub-Saharan Africa, in order to provide to the people concerned with a decent living environment.
